Considered one of the most beautiful and successful sports cars of the 1930s, BMW pays tribute this year to the 328, which turns 75 in 2011. Once again the oldtimer will take part in the iconic Mille Miglia race this year and that is also where BMW will reveal the BMW 328 Hommage to the public, a special edition car, celebrating the oldtimer. Design elements of the original can be found through out the entire new 328 Hommage, which has been constructed of reinforced carbon fibre plastic on the upper, making it even lighter than aluminium. Materials of the past are being fused with materials of the future, with the result being a beautiful up to date sports car with a clear hint at the past. (Via Highsnobiety).
