DORODESIGN Likes: Casio G-Shock – April 2011 | New Releases

A reminder of the devastation caused by the March 11th Earthquake and Tsunami. A tiny side note appeared on Casio‘s Japanese website the very next day stated apologetically that the Ootakadoya-yama station, one of two atomic time transmission point in Japan, been suspended due to its proximity to the stricken nuclear power plant at Fukushima. Despite of the toll, in physical structures, monetary damages, long-term psyche, and the lives lost, most in Japan are urging a return to normalcy and picking up where they left off, quite evident in the new April 2011 releases of Casio G-Shock. Composition of the collection is limited to 2 models only, the DW-5600 and DW-6900, but with new G-LIDE adaptations. Now under new nomenclatures, the GLX-6900 and the GRX-5600 are armed, quite ironically, with tide and wave display. Available for purchase in the coming weeks at your nearest Casio G-Shock retailers.
