Today, we’re taking a style cue from the poster boy of 1960s French cinema, Jean-Paul Belmondo. As French new wave comes back into fashion, (most recently just last week as Wes Anderson emulated the style in a web series for Prada’s new perfume), Jean-Paul Belmondo is remembered for his turn in films like Breathless, Le Voleur, Paris brûle-t-il? and others. His style is much like the characters he played in those films, and a tweed jacket, flat cap, and trench will have you emulating this look in no time. Think Bogart and Grant’s formal attire meets a laissez-faire attitude. Oh yeah, don’t forget the cigar!
