DORODESIGN Likes: Osaka Station City Water Display

The most remarkable feature of Japan’s largest shopping mall, located in the South Gate Building of the sprawling Osaka Station City complex in Osaka, has nothing to do with merchandise or bargains. It’s a fountain that can display the time, temperature and even artwork on the flowing sheets of water that act as a shimmering canvas. Created by Koei Industry, the attraction is a waterfall and printer rolled into one, with water streams lit up to reproduce an ever changing array of patterns and designs stored in a computer. It’s a spectacle that has to be seen in action, so click through and check out a video of the mesmerizing display. (Via FreshnessMag).
