In Paris, they call it Haute Couture. Even if you try to translate it doesn’t feel the same. It was again a great circus in Paris for all the high presences for the Spring/Summer collection runway shows. Despite of Givenchy success this season, I chose Dior. Easy, you might say, but the new couture by John Galliano is something coming from the past, the early beginning of the maison. Cold ladies from the 50’s, Crudelia De Vil and high society housewives all in one. Covered by hundred yards of fabric and tulle and kimono jackets with high belts, it works all together let me say. Voilà.
