Blogger explaining the title: I have to say that found Gilbert & Lewis was a revelation. Some kind of vision coming from another planet. I had to post their website homepage just to check if it rings somebody else a bell (does it? Recognize anything? ).
Gilbert & Lewis are the alter egos for designers Jose Abellar and David Ayala based in NY. Their inspirations are travel, vintage fashion, science-fiction and all the Green Acres television series. There’s a little bit of Revenge of the nerds movie in it, in my opinion, but just for the names and looks… Plaid shirts and strange bow ties that’s all preppy folks. Waiting for Spring 2011!
