DORODESIGN Likes: APPLE ANNOUNCES NEXT-GENERATION 15-INCH MACBOOK PRO WITH RETINA DISPLAY | AVAILABLE STARTING TODAY

A surprising twist in today’s Apple WDDC 2012 conference was the fact how much of the speculative predication came true, including the new 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro. At only 0.71 inches thickness and 4.46 pound in weight, Apple‘s Senior Vice President Phil Schiller proclaimed it as “the the most beautiful computer we have ever made…” Quipped with your choice of i5 or i7 quad-core processor by Intel and RAM up to 16GB, the portable workstation also includes the rumored NIVIDIA Kepler GeForce GT 650M graphic processor along with the new MagSafe 2, USB 3.0, HDMI, SD card slot, and two Thunderbolt ports. Moving away from the traditional hard drive, Apple will outfit the new laptop with Solid State Drive (SSD) instead. Connectivity includes 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0. But the most anticipated feature on new machine would be its Retina Display with 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, or 220 ppi, thus making its display sharper than your average HDTV and any of MacBook Pro’s laptop competitors. The new MacBook Pro is available today with a starting price of US$ 2,199.
